IQF Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management
Programme Introduction
The IQF Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management has been designed to help learners gain a strong foundation in modern business practices while also developing advanced managerial skills. The programme carries a total of 240 credits across two stages (Level 4 and Level 5), which is the equivalent of completing the first two years of an undergraduate business degree in the UK.
At Level 4, the focus is on building essential knowledge in business operations, finance, communication, and leadership. This stage ensures learners are well-prepared for more advanced topics. By Level 5, the curriculum shifts towards applying strategy, law, marketing, HR management, and entrepreneurial skills in real-world contexts.
The qualification is highly practical and gives learners the opportunity to explore contemporary business challenges from both local and global perspectives.
Entry Profile
This qualification is intended for learners who are typically aged 18 years or older. Applicants may qualify through one of the following routes:
A recognised Level 3 Diploma or equivalent
Two A-Levels or an equivalent international qualification
Mature learners (aged 21+) with relevant managerial experience (subject to approval by the centre)
English proficiency evidence where English is not the learner’s first language
Academic Level
The IQF Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas are positioned academically at the same standard as a Higher National Diploma (HND) or the second year of a Bachelor’s degree in the UK.
Structure of the Qualification
To complete the programme, learners must study 12 mandatory units. Each stage carries 120 credits, adding up to 240 credits in total.

Assessment Approach
